I TREAT YOU AS AN INDIVIDUAL
The Cognitive Hypnosis Academy in Dublin is where I was trained, and is the home of Positive Psychology Hypnosis. Please see their website using the link for more information on the approach.
Both the National Council for Hypnotherapy (NCH) and the Complimentary and Natural Healthcare Council to which I accredited members promote and implement the highest standards of training, practice and professional ethics.
Just because I see three people in a day with the same name for their problem doesn’t mean that the same thing will work for them. Everyone creates and perceives their issue in a unique way, and I use a range of techniques from a number of different disciplines such as hypnosis, positive psychology and NLP, to put together an intervention that will suit the way you think.
I WORK IN PARTNERSHIP WITH YOU
The sessions are interesting, enlightening and empowering. You’ll receive tools, techniques and strategies to use for yourself. The therapy effect continues to multiply between sessions and long after therapy is finished. It is a creative and productive process that can make a difference surprisingly quickly providing value for money. Cognitive Hypnotherapy is not a therapy that goes on for many months or even years as some do. Many problems can be resolved with a small number of sessions.
I AM PROFESSIONALLY TRAINED
I AM PROFESSIONAL AND ETHICAL
If you’re stuck with a habit (e.g. smoking, nail-biting, over-eating), or you can’t overcome negative feelings (like anxiety, grief or nerves), I believe that you have everything you need to regain control. I can help you find what you have and need inside yourself.
Cognitive Hypnotherapy is based on modern neuroscience and works from a modern understanding of the mind and of the mind-body connection. As well as hypnosis I also use insights from a range of psychological and therapeutic disciplines, including NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming) CBT (Cognitive Behaviour Therapy) and Positive Psychology. This means I have a wide range of tools and techniques to utilise in solving your problem.
The mind effects the body and the body effects the mind. Cognitive Hypnotherapy works successfully with physical issues such as pain management, eczema, IBS and the stress/anxiety response.
I HELP YOU GAIN CONTROL
I AM UP TO DATE
I UTILISE THE MIND-BODY CONNECTION
I want your experience to be as comfortable and as comforting as possible, because it is in this environment that we can have the most success. Noise, distractions, cold, traffic, phones, kids too! All are designed to take your mind off the task at hand, so I will make sure that we have the right environment and setting to best achieve your goals.
I utilise a suite of tools and techniques to design the most appropriate intervention(s) to achieve these goals and typically our work together will embrace more than just hypnosis.
I don’t sell silver bullets and one size definitely does not fit all: as human beings we are all uniquely different. With this in mind, I take the time to understand that which you are trying to achieve or fix in your life, whether that be a fear of spiders, a crisis of confidence before an interview or some help to formulate thoughts following retirement before designing a unique and bespoke series of interventions that we will work through to achieve your goal.
One of the principles of hypnotherapy is that 90% of your behaviour is driven by your unconscious mind rather than your conscious mind. Hypnosis enables you to deal with the things in your life you want to change by working at the unconscious level which in turn leads to lasting change.
